The James Vick Foundation will be offering additional roster sports athletes interested in playing either field hockey, or lacrosse, at the club level this summer!
The JVF Field Hockey program features two teams, the Panthers, and the Dragons, the club practices in New Haven Connecticut on the campus of Southern Connecticut State University .
The Panthers and the Dragons play in tournaments, and play days, they also are coached by our field Hockey Director Cheryl Canada, and her assistant Valerie Perkins.
Canada has over 15 plus years of experience coaching field hockey, she played at Quinnipiac University, and also worked as the associate head coach, winning several MAAC championships at the school.
Coach Perkins was a starter, and a captain for the Quinnipiac University Bobcats, playing for Canada at the institution.
To date, the JVF Dragons are 4-2-2 at major tournaments in 2021, including a strong showing at the Surf and Sands College showcase this past weekend. We look forward to welcoming more players that are dedicated, and love the game.
The JVF Vipers are also going to be opening roster spots to athletes that missed registration.
The Vipers are a free women's lacrosse club based in Hamden Connecticut, they are coached by Gabriella Vitelli, Callie Kessler, and Caleigh Manguilli!
The program practices at Southern Connecticut State University.
Amid a landscape of expensive lacrosse programming, the Vipers have grown quickly with so many athletes seeking a financially feasible option to improve, and enjoy the game!
This week the Vipers will be split into two teams, Vipers Blue, and Vipers Black, both teams will play games, practice, and engage in team bonding activities.
The JVF also offers a middle school option, the JVF Lions will be offering lacrosse sessions to young women in 7th and 8th grade starting July 16th, if you have interest in joining this program place reach out to us via the contact form on this website!
While space is limited, we do have extra uniforms and space, and would like to give interested athletes a chance to be evaluated. Please contact the JVF with any questions!
